An independent reference for bitmex trading.
bitmextradingguide.com is an editorial site covering the BitMEX exchange — its spot market, fee structure, custody architecture and the execution controls available on the order ticket. We started this site because most third-party coverage of BitMEX still defaults to the platform's derivatives heritage and misses how the spot product, fee ladder and Proof-of-Reserves architecture have evolved through 2026.
We are not affiliated with HDR Global Trading Limited or the BitMEX exchange. We do not operate a venue, hold customer funds, or accept deposits. We do not offer trading signals, account-management services, or "guaranteed returns" products. Anyone claiming to represent this site in those capacities should be treated as fraudulent.
What you'll find on this site
- A current-as-of-2026 guide to BitMEX spot trading — pairs, order types, fees and execution.
- The 8-tier fee ladder, plainly stated, alongside how tier placement is determined.
- How BitMEX holds client funds — MPC keys, 100% cold storage, twice-weekly Proof of Reserves.
- A comparison against other major venues on the parameters where there is a structural difference.
Editorial principles
- Accuracy over hype. Fee numbers and product details are drawn from BitMEX's own live schedule.
- No paid placements in the article body. If a future page contains an affiliate or sponsorship link, it will be labelled inline.
- No financial advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific asset.
- Plain language. Spread, slippage, B-Book, MPC — terms are explained where they first appear.
